Canesten Oral Capsules are a treatment for thrush in both women and men. It tackles the cause of the thrush infection and usually clears your symptoms in just two days. Eases irritating symptoms of thrush, such as itching and burning sensations, quickly and easily.
What is Thrush and what can cause Thrush?
Yeast and bacteria are naturally present in your vagina. Thrush occurs when the level of Candida albicans increases.
You have a weakened immune system
Pregnancy (mainly during the third trimester)
When on your period
When taking certain medicines and antibiotics
If you have a medical condition like diabetes or HIV or if you're undergoing chemotherapy
Thrush is not an STI or a serious condition and in most cases, it can be treated easily and effectively. It is also normal and very common that 3 in 4 women suffer from it at least once during their lifetime.
Warnings and Precautions
Do not use if:
You are pregnant or breastfeeding
If you are taking terfenadine, cisapride, astemizole, pimozide, quinidine, and erythromycin.
Speak to your GP or Pharmacist before use if:
You are unsure whether you have thrush, or you have had these symptoms for the first time
You have had thrush more than twice in the past 6 months
You or your partner has ever had an STD
You have had any disease or illness affecting the liver or kidneys, or have any unexplained jaundice
You have heart problems, including heart rhythm problems
You suffer from any other chronic disease or illness
If you have any concerns about side effects you call to speak to your GP or pharmacist. Also if you have had any severe side effects speak to your GP or pharmacist as soon as possible.
